THE NEW ENDOWMENT
The first part of the program for obtaining funds for new development was completed this year with generous gifts to the
Observatory, amounting to a million dollars, from the Rockefeller

This new "Harvard Observatory Fund," as planned by the Director with the assistance and advice of members of the Visiting
Committee, will amount, when realized, to $1,800,000.
