Ce lacis vasculaire existe aussi sur la partie du manteau située à la face antérieure de l'animal ; peut-être y est-il moins riche qu'à la partie dorsale, cependant il présente encore là une grande richesse vascu- laire.

XV, fig. 4, a) qui, en la parcourant de sa base au sommet, donne de nombreux rameaux qui vont former le lacis vasculaire situé près de sa surface. Le sang, après avoir circulé dans ce réseau, passe dans un autre vaisseau longitudinal situé du côté opposé au vaisseau afférent : c'est le vaisseau efférent, qui, en s'anastomosant avec d'autres vaisseaux qui comme lui recueillent le sang du lacis vasculaire superficiel, va se jeter dans un des troncs branchio-cardiaques.

C'est dans la suite du développement seulement que le réseau radicifère contracte des relations aussi bien avec les faisceaux communs qu'avec ceux du lacis sinueux.
